A look at some of the music apps available for the iPhone 4S

Apple’s popular iPhone 4S is well known for its versatility and this is largely due to the applications that can be downloaded to the phone from the AppStore. In this article, I will take a look at some of the popular free apps in the Music category.
Just Dance 3 Autodance
Based on the popular Xbox game, Just Spa Music Dance is a popular free app that is easy to use and highly entertaining. To use it, simply use the 8 MP camera on the iPhone 4S to film a friend or family member doing any task, and the app will automatically sync their movements with a selection of dance music tracks to make it look like they’re dancing. even when they are not.
Spotify
Spotify is a free music streaming service that has been gaining popularity in recent years. It is now available and is an iPhone application that allows users to choose from millions of tracks to play. Simply search the application for the song / album / artist you want, and it will connect to a database via the iPhone 4S internet connection, displaying a list of results. You can then play these tracks through the phone’s speakers or the Apple headphones supplied with the phone. Because you’re streaming music, it doesn’t take up your phone’s storage space, so you essentially have millions of tracks at your fingertips. To keep the service free, ads are occasionally played between songs. However, there is also a premium service available for a monthly charge, which has no ads, unlimited streaming, and even offline streaming that allows you to store a certain number of tracks on the phone that can still be played without an internet connection.
Shazam
Imagine the scene; you’re in a bar or store and you hear a track that you like to play, or maybe it’s a track that you know but aren’t sure about the artist or title. This is where Shazam comes in handy. Just activate the app and hold your phone close to the speaker, and it will search a database to find a match. You will then be presented with the details of the track such as title, artist, album, etc., and you will have the options to share it through social media sites like Facebook or download it through iTunes. The free version of the application has a limited number of monthly uses, but there is a paid version that requires a small one-time payment and allows unlimited searches.
